Lillipods Eastside
A bright new preschool with space to learn, explore and grow
Lillipods Eastside is now open at 327 Bedok Road.
Set in a welcoming landed-school environment, Lillipods Eastside brings together inquiry-led learning, bilingual education, warm teaching and generous indoor and outdoor spaces — including a large lawn where children have room to run, play and discover.
A new Lillipods in the East
At Lillipods, children take an active part in their learning. They ask questions, explore ideas, make choices and solve problems, while teachers guide them towards clear learning goals.
At Eastside, this happens in a school designed to give children room to do just that. Bright classrooms, natural wooden furnishings and open learning areas flow into generous outdoor spaces where children can move, investigate and learn from the world around them.
Children learn in both English and Chinese, with strong foundations in language, numeracy and the skills they need to become confident, independent learners.
Space to move, explore and grow
A lawn made for childhood
One of the things that makes Eastside special is the amount of outdoor space children can enjoy as part of their school day.
Our large grass lawn gives children room to run, play football, take part in group games, explore movement and simply enjoy being outdoors.
Outdoor experiences are not separate from learning. They create opportunities for children to test their physical abilities, work with friends, solve problems and notice what is happening in the world around them.
Calm spaces designed for children
Eastside has been designed to feel bright, calm and welcoming.
Natural wooden furniture is arranged at children's height, with books, materials and learning tools within easy reach. Different areas invite children to read, create, build, investigate, talk with friends or work with a teacher.
The environment is deliberately simple. Rather than filling classrooms with decoration, we give children's work, ideas and learning space to stand out.
Learning begins with curiosity
Children at Eastside learn through a mix of inquiry, purposeful hands-on experiences and teacher-guided learning.
A question about a plant may lead to observation, drawing, counting and new vocabulary. Building something may involve testing ideas about shape, balance and size. A story can lead to conversation, dramatic play, art or writing.
Teachers plan with clear learning goals, then observe, question, demonstrate and guide as children explore.
As children grow, learning becomes progressively more structured, with focused literacy and numeracy activities, teacher-led lessons, written work and classroom routines preparing them for Primary 1 and beyond.
English and Chinese every day
English and Chinese are part of everyday life at Lillipods.
Children experience both languages through stories, conversation, songs, routines, movement and learning activities. Teachers introduce language in meaningful situations and give children opportunities to listen, respond and express their own ideas.
As children grow, reading and writing become increasingly structured, helping them build strong foundations in both languages.
Growing beyond the classroom
At Lillipods Eastside, each level has its own vegetable plot.
Children can take part in planting, watering, observing and caring for what they grow. Over time, a small garden can become the starting point for questions about plants, food, weather, insects, measurement, responsibility and change.
Together with our lawn and other outdoor experiences, the garden helps children connect what they learn indoors with the real world around them.
