Lillipods North View
A warm school where children feel seen
North View has a steady, familiar school rhythm that helps young children settle into their day. Teachers greet children by name, notice small changes in confidence or behaviour, and work closely with families so care and learning feel connected.
Our teachers take time to understand each child’s strengths, needs and stage of development. They listen to children’s ideas, notice how they learn and offer support when needed.
Warm relationships give children the confidence to speak, explore and try something new. They also help children form friendships, manage their emotions and become more independent in daily life.
A fresh approach to preschool, close to home
Set within Yishun’s North View Bizhub, Lillipods North View offers preschool and childcare for families in Yishun, Khatib, Chong Pang, Gambas and Canberra who want a warm school with a practical weekday rhythm.
At North View, children learn through active experiences that feel familiar and purposeful: conversations, stories, hands-on exploration, bilingual routines, outdoor movement and guided practice. Teachers keep learning intentional while giving children room to try, respond and grow more confident each day.
How children learn at North View
Learning at North View is active and connected to children’s everyday experiences.
Learning at North View often begins with ordinary moments that children can understand and talk about. Preparing food can involve counting, measuring and turn-taking. Building with blocks can lead to questions about shape, balance and design. A classroom conversation can strengthen language, empathy and problem-solving.
Teachers plan with clear goals, then watch how children respond. They model language, ask questions, offer materials, guide next steps and give children time to try before stepping in with more direct support.
As children grow, learning becomes more structured through teacher-led lessons, literacy and numeracy activities, focused practice, written work and classroom routines.
Bilingual learning across the day
English and Chinese come alive through stories, songs, conversation, movement, routines and hands-on activities.
Teachers introduce and revisit words in meaningful situations. Children may count and compare in Chinese, describe an observation in English or enjoy a familiar story in both languages.
As they grow, children take part in more focused reading and writing activities. This helps them build strong foundations in both languages and use language with growing confidence.
Learning beyond the classroom
Our children take part in regular outdoor experiences and local outings.
Neighbourhood walks around North View Bizhub and nearby green spaces help children connect learning with the places they recognise. They may look for numbers on signs, compare vehicles and sounds, observe plants after rain, talk about safety at crossings, or notice how people use shared spaces.
These experiences connect classroom learning with the world around them.

Frequently Asked Questions
What ages do you welcome at North View?
We welcome children from Playgroup, starting at 18 months, through to K2. Places depend on the current availability within each age group.
How do you support bilingual learning?
Children hear and use English and Chinese throughout the school day, including in stories, songs, conversations, routines, numeracy, movement and hands-on activities. Teachers introduce vocabulary in meaningful contexts and build reading and writing progressively as children grow.
How do you help new children settle in?
We work with each family on a gradual settling-in plan. Early sessions may be shorter while children become familiar with their teachers, classmates and daily routines.
Can you support allergies or dietary needs?
Please tell us about any medical or dietary needs before enrolment. We consider each request carefully and will confirm what the school and our meal provider can safely supports.
How is Lillipods different from a more traditional preschool?
Children at Lillipods learn through active experiences rather than only through worksheets or teacher talk. They ask questions, explore materials, make choices and solve problems through purposeful play and inquiry, while teachers connect these experiences to clear learning goals. As children grow, lessons, focused practice and written work are introduced progressively.
What does a typical day look like?
Each day includes purposeful play, teacher-guided learning, bilingual literacy, numeracy, movement, outdoor experiences, meals, rest and time with friends. The rhythm changes according to the children’s age and needs.
Do children spend time outdoors?
Yes. Children take part in regular outdoor movement, neighbourhood experiences and age-appropriate outings. Activities are planned with suitable safety measures and staff-to-child ratios.
How do you prepare children for Primary 1?
Children build foundations in English, Chinese and numeracy alongside independence, communication, classroom routines and social-emotional skills. Learning becomes more structured as children grow, with focused lessons, practice and written activities added progressively.
How will I know what my child is learning?
Families receive regular updates, including photographs, observations and examples of learning. Parent-teacher meetings provide time to discuss what your child has tried, what they understand and what they are ready to learn next.
Are ECDA subsidies available?
Yes. Eligible families may receive ECDA childcare subsidies. Our team can explain the applicable fees and subsidies during your visit.
